Who Am I?

My name is Margarita Bianco. I am a professor of education foundations at the University of Colorado Denver and long-time classroom teacher (special education). I never thought my professional training as a special educator would be needed on such a personal level as I learn to apply some of those skills to care for my husband. Also, my training and skills as a professor & researcher have helped me evaluate resources and services as I dig deep and enter rabbit holes of information I need.

I curate essential dementia resources, focusing primarily on Colorado-specific information. This collection, originally meant only for my family's benefit, is being shared with you to help you save time and energy- something we all need more of.

In recent months, I've had several people ask me to share the resources I've collected so it seemed easier to create this site and share one link. It is updated frequently, ensuring we all have access to the latest support and information availableI am in this journey too - as I learn how to best provide care for my husband while I also learn to prioritze my own well being without guilt.
